Zone alarm has been dominating in the field of firewalls and nowadays it has started making it's mark even as antivirus. What makes zone alarm so dominating is that it's tight security against any kinda spywares and viruses. It does not allow any sort of malicious scripts also to run in your pc. But the main drawback of it is that when loaded in your computer it takes up huge chunk of the memory ( RAM) making computer very slow, and even making the computer miserable of those who have very less and limited memory.

Get System Information of your PC

Ever wanted to know the details about your computer? Well most of the people try to get the information of their system using third party softwares but there is also a inbuilt windows features from where you can get the system inform

ations such as Ram size; CPU speed; Page fil

e size; Direct x Files; Display details such as Manufacturer's name of the display adapter, adapter size, current display mode; sound details and so on.

To get all these information simply go to Start-->> Run -->> then type "dxdiag" then -->> enter.

Now you will get a message with Yes or No option, press Yes. 

Now you can see the details of your system as shown below:

For system details of CPU, RAM etc go to tab SYSTEM, for network details go to NETWORK tab, and likewise. You can save this information by clicking "Save all informations".

Have u ever wondered how to download Mp3s. If u have ever tried, i guess at first you were not able to find what you were looking for. Still may be some of you guys might got virus while searching and downloading the songs.
Well today in this post i will tell you how to and where to search for the mp3s.

No Run, No Task Manager, No Registry, No Cmd , No Msconfig

If u are a regular internet and computer user... i bet u have encountered such a situation where you have no access to registry, run, task manager, command prompt and even no Folder option.
I guess you might have tried scanning the computer for viruses, and may b you got it also.... have u resolved the virus'es side effect? IF still those features of windows are not accessible then probably you still have virus in ur PC. SO what to do? FOrmat is the answer most of the people gets.

But for me format due to virus is a last option for me. If i have such a problem i would rather use the following tools in safe mode before formatting. If no avail, then still ill try to find other way round.
Well first let me tell you which virus causes the above mentioned problem, they are:

isetup.exe
kinza.exe
scvvhsot.exe
ssvichosst.exe

so if you ever find these files in any drive delete it immediately.

SO the solution of the above virus is below. I would not say it will definitely clean it 100%, but till now the result is from 85% to 95% success.
So download these files and run them in Safe mode ( press F8 before loading the windows)

Then For Folder Option

( select restore option )

Remember this all has to be done in safe mode.

Convert any Files to PDF

PDf format has become a very important type of document format nowadays. Everything such as ebooks, magazines and other resources are found in this format as it is higly compressed.

Even in desktop publishing pdf is widely used for printing.

I know that all the software that we use does not have provision to save documents in pdf form. So now, today in this blog i am telling you all about this software " Do Pdf" which helps in converting any files into pdf format.

You can download the file from hereDo Pdf  (freeware). Install it. Open the any type of document that you want to convert to pdf. When you are ready go to file --> then Print. In Printer menu select DoPdf printer and print. During this process it will ask you where to save, so give the location where you want to place the file. Then you are done.

No windows Folder option menu in Tools

If you had a virus in your computer,and removed by your antivirus.... but still there is no folder option menu, then probably it must me the side effect that the virus had left in your computer.
In order to fix this after-effect here are the procedures:


You should open the registry, but remember to back it up. You can make a restore point in system restore, or just open the registry and export the whole thing, or export some selected keys.

Start >> Run >> (type) regedit >> (rightclick on the little my computer icon, and export the whole thing.)

find this key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced. Go to the rightside of the window, where the values are. Find the value "Hidden" . Rightclick it and modify it to 1.

now download file below and double click it. click Yes

How to protect ur computer from getting infected by a virus

Now a days virus has become a common to us and more and more vunerable.

So as my first post, i will let you know how to be safe from getting infected from virus through pen drives, floppy n other removable devices.

Steps:

1.  First disable the autoplay option:

             a> go to start, then click run

             b> type " gpedit.msc" in the run dialog box and press enter.

             c> now, on the left tree menu, expand the user settings, then expand Administrative             Templates then and click " System".

             d> now on the right side you will see lots of policy and permissions.. down below there is a                         policy saying " Turn off Auto Play".. double click it.

             e>  Default is " not configured" , you select enabled. In the drop down menu Turn off on:                       you select " All drives" then click apply and ok.

2. Open my computer or any folder then go to Folder Options . 

    a> go to view tab

    b> below select show hidden files and folders and unmark ( uncheck) the Hide protected operating system files.

3. Click Apply then Ok.

From Now on you always open your pen drive , dvd drive or other removable drives by right clicking and selecting explore option.

 If your device have some unusual files with unknown extensions, it is most probably a virus. You delete it immediately. Whenever you find the unknown files in your devices, delete it.

Like this you can prevent your computer from getting infected from the virus.

Well i have never thought that i would have my own personal blog... but now waallaaah!!! i have 1 now.
At first i thought that the blog is useless, it has no use and so on... But now i came to know that all my perceptions were totally wrong. Now i feel that blog is necessary. Because i think it is the only place where you can pour your viewpoints and share the knowledge through the internet .
